Domestic Housing

Domestic properties do not have scheduled maintenance works, but when it rains and you get wet, you need help. Many low set properties have been raised or built in underneath, making the new addition to the house a sub terrain structure affected by water ingress or damp. The area becomes unusable resulting in costly and disruptive works. We offer an alternative solution to waterproofing these houses. Injecting the joint where the block work meets the slab eliminates the cold joint that forms when the house or new addition settles.

Waterproofing membranes on the positive side of the retaining wall are designed to allow a small percentage of movement but when the limit is exceeded, the membrane will rupture, allowing water a free path into the house. The injection process remains flexible and will allow further movement while providing a permanent seal. In some cases we combine the injection with a negative side membrane if the waterproofing membrane has failed completely.
